Property for sale in Calpe

Beachfront living under the Peñón de Ifach

Calpe combines two things that rarely sit together on the Costa Blanca: wide sandy town beaches and a genuine Spanish town centre. The Peñón de Ifach rock splits the coast into Arenal-Bol on one side and La Fossa on the other, and most of the sought-after apartment stock looks straight onto one of them.

It is the most liquid market in the area — there is always something for sale, from compact seafront apartments to hillside villas at Maryvilla and Empedrola with views across the bay.

The Calpe market today

Calpe trades on volume rather than scarcity: seafront apartments dominate transactions, while villas on the hillsides serve buyers who want space and a view. Price per square metre drops quickly as you move back from the promenade, which is where value buyers usually look.

Who buys here

First-time Spanish-coast buyers, rental investors chasing summer occupancy, and retirees who want to be able to walk everywhere.

Calpe buyer questions

Which beach is better in Calpe, Arenal-Bol or La Fossa?
Arenal-Bol sits next to the old town and the marina and is the busier, more commercial side. La Fossa is wider and more open, popular with families and with newer apartment blocks behind it.
Can I rent out a property in Calpe to tourists?
Tourist letting in the Valencian Community requires a registered licence for the specific property. Always confirm the licence status before you buy if rental income is part of your plan.
